Don Haskins, affectionately known as “The Bear,” is a legendary figure in college basketball, renowned for his remarkable coaching career at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Over 17 seasons, Haskins consistently led his teams to success, achieving over twenty wins each season and showcasing his exceptional ability to develop competitive athletes.

Haskins gained further recognition as an assistant coach for the 1972 Summer Olympic Basketball team in Munich, playing a vital role in the growth of international basketball.
